Bar with “Up Down” Error

If you are a registered user, you can click on the Edit Graph button to open the TechGraph Editor showing the data and settings of this sample chart. You can review and edit the data and settings to learn about the features and capabilities of the application. Shown below are the steps in the Data Table and in the Edit Chart used to create this chart.      

Data Table
  • Graph Type is Bar.
  • X Data Type is Label. Labels for the X Axis are entered in X Data column. Note that superscript tags (<sup></sup>) are supported in labels.
  • Graph A contains the mean values.
  • Graph B contains the corresponding error values.
 Edit Chart      

    Settings 

  • Click on Graph Style to set the Color and Pattern for Graph A. Graph B’s Color is “White”.

    Curves and Error Bars

  • Select “Error Bar On” from Error Bar for Graph A list.
  • Click on Error Format for Graph B. Select “Up Down” from Error Bar Format list.

     Y Axis

  • Enter values in Minimum, Maximum and Major Div to set the Y axis scale and divisions. Leave these values empty for automatic scaling.
  • Click on Major Grid. Check Grid On. Select “2-Line Type” from the Line Type list.
    • Values for this example are Minimum = -100, Maximum = 100, and Major Div = 4.

     Edit Chart Toolbar Options

  •  Print Chart prints your chart.
  •  Download Image downloads your chart as an SVG(Scalable Vector Graphics) file or image file(PNG, JPEG, TIF, PDF).
  •  Drawing Objects customize your chart with labels, lines, arrows, circles, images, and logos.
