Line with Fill Below

If you are a registered user, you can click on the Edit Graph button to open the TechGraph Editor showing the data and settings of this sample chart. You can review and edit the data and settings to learn about the features and capabilities of the application. Shown below are the steps in the Data Table and in the Edit Chart used to create this chart.        

Data Table
  • Click on the label below “X Data” (in parentheses) in the X Data column. This will open a dialog box that allows you to change the Graph Type and X Data Type.
    • Graph Type is “Line”.
    • X Data Type is “Number”. Numeric values for the X Axis are entered in X Data column.
  • Graph A contains the data for the first line.
Edit Chart    

    Settings 

  • Click on Graph Style for Graph A to set the Line Color, Thickness, and Type. Set Fill Color and Pattern for the Fill below Line. Note that fill color can be different from line color. Check Fill below Line. Check Transparent Fill if you want to see through the fill area below line.

     X Axis

  • Enter values in Minimum, Maximum, and Major Div to set the X axis scale and divisions. Leave these values empty for automatic scaling.
    • Values for this example are Minimum = 0, Maximum = 5, and Major Div = 5.

     Y Axis

  • Enter values in Minimum, Maximum, and Major Div to set the Y axis scale and divisions. Leave these values empty for automatic scaling.
    • Values for this example are Minimum = 0, Maximum = 600, and Major Div = 6.

     Edit Chart Toolbar Options

  •  Print Chart prints your chart.
  •  Download Image downloads your chart as an SVG(Scalable Vector Graphics) file or image file(PNG, JPEG, TIF, PDF).
  •  Drawing Objects customize your chart with labels, lines, arrows, circles, images, and logos.
